    We had a great meeting tonight with 4 adults and two children in attendance. We discussed plans for developing a full-fledged support program in NNM starting in 2008, the possibility of applying for grant funding, and all the ideas we thought would make it a good program for our area.

    We also decided to make our next meeting the first fun event. I hope you will join us on January 12th for a support group meeting followed by swimming at the Chavez center. Times and details to follow soon. If you have ideas to add to our list for the 2008 program, please contact us.

        • The next support group meeting will include a fun activity! Join us at the climbing wall at the Los Alamos YMCA. $11 per participant.

      Next TOFUN event:

      Join us for bowling at our April TOFUN outing scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19th at the Isleta Fun Connection located near the Isleta Resort and Casino at 11000 Broadway SE.  The cost of this event is $5.00 per bowler which includes 2 games of bowling and shoe rental.  Families will also be able to play laser tag at a discounted rate of $3.00 per game.

      Please RSVP to the JDRF office by Monday, April 14th.
